Weclome

Sheridan Psychological Association will now meet, read, review, and post comments, ideas, questions, feedback, etc on this site. You will be able to review what others have posted, and sound off if you want. Please note that what you write will be open for all to see.

The trick is, save this on your favorites and check back often. If not, it will go stale. If used write, it can be a "think board" and help generate ideas, coalitions, etc. Please click on the "add comment" section and write a quick note.

  1. Regarding the capacity/competency issue, here are the links for the Uniform Act and our state statutes. Chapter 3 of the state constitution deals with guardianship. In both documents, look at the definitions of incompetent/incapacitated person. The state statute also specifies and defines a mentally incompetent person. This Uniform Act is the one mentioned in the recent APA publication on geriatric capacity assessment, so I doubt (but don't know for sure) that this is the most recent version. Please share your thoughts with the rest of SPA!

  2. Amanda - thanks for the invite to use gmail. Pretty select group I assume. Feel honored, and flattered, to be invited! As to the business at hand - will this blog become the vehicle for ongoing discourse about those forces we have in common due to our professional lives? Guess we'll see. I'll check back and see if it goes on or goes "dry." Dennis
